Things founders ask before working together.

Q / 01 Do you do project work or only retainers?
Retainer-based engagements only. Project work creates the wrong incentives on both sides. The retainer model lets us focus on the right work each month rather than the work that fits a fixed scope.
Q / 02 How long are typical engagements?
Most engagements run twelve months or longer. The first ninety days are foundational. After that, the role evolves as the business grows.
Q / 03 What if it is not a fit?
I will tell you in the first conversation. Not every business is right for this model, and not every owner is right for me to work with. If it is not a match, I will say so and try to point you toward someone better suited.
Q / 04 Can you start before we have everything figured out?
Yes. Most clients do not start with all the answers. Part of the work in the first ninety days is figuring out which answers actually matter.
Q / 05 Why not just hire a marketing manager?
If you have a clear commercial foundation already, hire one. If you do not, a marketing manager will spend their first year trying to build what someone like me builds in three months. I am the bridge, not the destination.
